I ride a motorcycle everyday to work. We recently redid our garage floor with a relatively inexpensive epoxy from Amazon. It looks good, but I'm not confident it's going to hold up to the weight of my motorcycle over time. I wanted a well-made mat to park my bike on. My wife found this solution and I figured I'd give it a try. It's very well made. It's thick, but pliable enough to roll up (which is the way it comes) but rolls out and stays flat. It has grip bumps for non-slip traction and the 8ft x 4ft dims were perfect for parking my bike. When sitting on my bike to park, or leave for the day, I am able to turn my steering column without the mat bunching up or rotating under the front tire (most thinner mats do not allow that movement). The other part of parking the bike is putting down the kickstand. On touring bikes, when you put the kickstand (jiffy stand) down and then lean the bike onto the stand, it will slide the kickstand out a few inches once the weight of the bike has been applied. For this reason, make sure you use a kickstand plate if you plan to park your bike on it. I was able to park my bike several times on the mat without issue, but eventually the kickstand caught the lip of one of those grips and tore the mat (as seen in the 2nd picture). It was my own fault for not using the plate right away, and not in any way a design flaw of the mat. The mat is thick, but not made of iron. With the kickstand plate, it simply slides the necessary few inches from the weight of the bike and doesn't have any issues at all. I'll probably end up turning the mat around so I don't have to see the small tear, but not an issue for functionality. Without the mat, standard concrete gets black tire marks from the daily rotation of the front tire. The concrete will also start to get scraped up from the constant grinding of the kickstand (even with the plate). The mat worked so well, I bought a bigger one to park our cars on in the other garage. I will post a review with pics of that after I manage to clear out the extra junk in that garage and get both cars back in there. A+ for me.
